During its 25 years of activity, Smigroup has always been considering sustainable development as one of the essential values of its mission, in order to achieve a close harmony among industrial activity, product quality, environment protection and safety at work. Taking the environment into consideration during all phases of the production process is essential for creating a harmonious co-existence among individuals, technology and nature and for offering a valid contribution to customers and to social development. An integrated management system ensuring quality and safety

Smigroup's commitment to quality improvement started in 2005, when the parent company SMI S.p.A. obtained the UNI EN ISO 9001:2008 certification (Quality Management System), followed by the UNI EN ISO 14001:2004 certification (Environmental Management System) issued by the French Body AFAQ-AFNOR in 2011. Smigroup aims at extending these certifications to all the group's companies, in order to achieve a full compliance with the international standard BS OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series), which may be applied to any organization that wishes to establish a management system, in order to minimize hazards and risks to employees.

Besides ensuring efficiency, safety and sustainable development to the company's international organization, the adoption of an integrated management system will further improve Smigroup's capacity to meet the customer's demands, thus enabling it to stand out as a reliable and responsible partner, able to supply more and more efficient, safe and energetically "virtuous" systems.

The new integrated management system will allow to continuously monitor the execution of the directives set by the company's top management, to check their compliance with the corporate and environmental requirements and to take corrective actions, if needed.
